PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the recorded image data reproducing system transmitting and receiving additional information for image data by a simple hardware mechanism, without increase in addition of processing. SOLUTION: The recorded image data reproducing system comprises at least: an image data creating device for creating image data; and an image data reproducing device for reproducing the image data. An image data encoding portion of the image data creating device encodes a photographed image data by a JPEG format. At that time, additional information is embedded into an application marker of the JPEG format to perform marking of each section of the image data. When decoding and reproducing the image data, an image data decoding portion of the image data reproducing device captures the additional information and refers to the captured additional information. Then, an image data section for which marking is carried out is usually reproduced, but an image data section for which marking is not carried out is reproduced in an N times speed (N is a natural number).
