PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display having a new optical system properly controlling a projection area and displaying an image of high display quality, and to provide a head-up display and a moving object. SOLUTION: The display includes: an image forming section that emits luminous flux having image information; and a projection section that projects the luminous flux emitted from the image forming section toward the observer's head. The projection section includes an aperture diaphragm that controls the projection area of the luminous flux at the position of the observer, an image formation relationship is established between the position of the aperture diaphragm and the position of the observer.
