<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel seat whose structure for pressing the leg of a reel is changed and which can avoid the pain of a hand due to the gripping of a screw portion, when the reel seat is gripped. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The reel seat has a food portion 8 for holding the reel leg 5A, a leg presser 13 placed in the hood portion to press and hold the reel leg 5A, a rear cover body 12 for holding the leg presser 13, a nut body 15 engaged with the leg presser 13 to drive and move the leg presser 13, and a stopper 16 for receiving the nut body 15, on a seat body 10 mounted at a prescribed site of a butt section 3. The stopper 16 is disposed on the side opposite to the cover body-existing side through the nut body 15. The nut body 15 is nipped with the rear cover body 12 and the stopper body, and the nut body 15 can be rotated in the circumferential direction of the butt section 3 and can not be moved in the axial direction of the butt section 3.
