A numerical control machine is provided with a preceding check processing sequence (2) apart from a mechanical control processing sequence (1) for actual mechanical control in order to allow collision check to be performed at a proper position from the restart time of operation of a machining program even in the event that a working personnel interrupts operation in the middle of running the machining program or operation is interrupted due to detection of collision. The preceding check processing sequence checks the probability of collision prior to actual mechanical control. The numerical control machine includes a control status synchronizing section (23) to match status of the preceding check processing sequence (2) to status of the mechanical control processing sequence (1) during a period of time from stop of the machine to restart of operation.
