<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal and menu control method thereof that improves a voice recognition rate, by specifying a domain for voice recognition into a domain relating to specific menus or services. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile terminal includes: an input unit configured to receive an input to activate a voice recognition function on the mobile terminal; a memory, configured to store multiple domains related to the menus and operations of the mobile terminal; and a controller configured to access a specific domain among the multiple domains included in the memory, on the basis of the received input to activate the voice recognition function, to recognize user speech, on the basis of a language model and an acoustic model of the accessed domain, and to determine at least one menu and operation of the mobile terminal, on the basis of the accessed specific domain and the recognized user speech. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
