<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an optical material having a high refractive index, without generating a stria. <P>SOLUTION: The stria of the optical material is prevented from being generated, by cast-polymerizing a resin composition for the optical material after raising a refractive index by 0.001 (n<SB>D</SB>(20°C))-0.002, for 1-6 hours at 10-30°C after degassed, in a production method for the optical material of polymerizing the resin composition for the optical material comprising (a) a compound expressed by formula (1) where m is an integer of 0-4, and n is an integer of 0-2, (b) sulfur and (c) a compound having a mercapto group and a sulfide bond of at least one or more respectively per one molecule. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
