PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation curable ink jet ink composition having a suitable viscosity to an inkjet-recording method, excellent in preservation stability, and excellent in adhesiveness with recording media in recorded pictures, also excellent in hardness (film hardness) against scratch of recorded pictures.

SOLUTION: The radiation curable ink jet ink composition contains as a radiation-induced radical polymerizable compound a dendric polymer obtained by adding a polyvalent mercapto compound to a carbon-carbon double bond at β-position relating to a carbonyl group of part of (meth)acrylate groups of a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate compound represented by general formula (1).
