PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll type fluid machine provided with a rotation-preventing mechanism of a movable scroll capable of being easily attached in a target state and being reduced in size and weight. SOLUTION: This scroll type fluid machine 1 is extended over at least one of a fixed scroll 2 constituting a non-turning member and a housing, and a movable scroll 3, and is provided with a rotation-preventing member 21 for preventing rotation of the movable scroll 3. The rotation-preventing member 21 is provided with a rotation-preventing member movable mechanism for allowing movement of the rotation-preventing member itself required to allow a turning motion of the movable scroll 3 by the rotation-preventing member 21.
