<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate the kind of an injector without providing the injector with additional parts. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This fuel injection control device is provided with a circuit for making large rush current flow from a capacitor charged with voltage boosted with power supply voltage to a coil of the injector when starting energizing to the coil and making fixed current set in advance flow to the coil after the rush current reaches a peak value set in advance, as the circuit for driving the injector. While cylinder discrimination is completed after a starter switch is turned ON, electric discharge is performed from the capacitor to the coil of the injector, time Tp when the rush current flowing to the coil reaches the peak value ipd is measured (S120 to S140), and the kind of the injector is discriminated from the time Tp (S150). The peak value of the rush current when driving the injector to perform fuel injection and the fixed current value are set to values according to the kind of the discriminated injector (S170).
