<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uplift preventing manhole easily applicable not only to newly-constructed manholes but also to existing manholes and having excellent workability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An annular extension receiving part 11 is temporarily fastened with lock screws 19 and 19 and fixed by an adhesive 20 to any location outside a manhole building frame 10. Eight enclosure frameworks 12 are fastened with nuts to anchor bolts 15 provided over the extension receiving part 11. After a sheet 13 is underlaid in a cage-like part made of the eight enclosure frameworks 12, an inside filling material 14 is inserted inside it, and the inner and outer edges of the sheet 13 are closed by a securing band 24 and fastened to the manhole skeletal body 10.
