<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water meter having a wide notation space, and an easily-visible notation content. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this water meter 1 wherein a lid part 2 is mounted in an openable shape by turning on a body case 3, a plate-shaped notation member 100 is mounted on the rear surface 2b of the lid part 2, and a prescribed description item can be noted also on the notation member 100. The notation member 100 is turnable between a facing position where the first side of the surface 100a is faced to the rear surface 2b of the lid part 2 and a developed state, wherein the first side is turned about a rotation axis X1 of the reverse second side and is separated from the rear surface 2b of the lid part 2.
