Provided is a polymer having a structural unit expressed by the following general formula (1a): wherein a1 represents an integer of 1 or more; Ar1 represents a divalent aromatic group having an ion-exchange group, and may have a substituent other than an ion-exchange group; Ar0 represents a divalent aromatic group that may have a substituent; when a1 is 2 or more, a plurality of Ar0s may be the same or different from each other; and X represents a divalent electron withdrawing group.
