<p>Provided are an active matrix substrate provided with plural pixel electrodes in one pixel area and a liquid crystal display device (capacitively-coupled pixel division system) using the same. Proposed is a structure of the liquid crystal display device of the capacitively-coupled pixel division system in which there is little possibility of burn-in of sub-pixels even in double speed driving. The active matrix substrate comprises a data signal line (15x), a first and second scanning signal lines (16a·16b), a first transistor (12a) connected to the data signal line (15x) and the first scanning signal line (16a), a second transistor (12b) connected to a data signal line (15y) adjacent to the data signal line (15x) and the second scanning signal line (16b), and a first and second pixel electrodes (17a·17b) formed in one pixel (101) area. The first pixel electrode (17a) is connected to the data signal line (15x) via the first transistor (12a), and the second pixel electrode (17b) is connected to the first pixel electrode (17a) via a capacitor and connected to the data signal line (15y) via the second transistor (12b).</p> |
