<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus having improved user convenience by imparting attribute information which is suitable for sorting, to image data. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The an imaging apparatus which images a still image while recording a moving image, includes: a detection means for detecting specific subject information from a still image imaged during recording of a moving image; and an imparting means for imparting predetermined attribute information to the moving image under recording when the predetermined subject information is detected by the detection means.
