PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool capable of reliably switching the rotating direction of a motor between forward and reverse directions without being affected by dust. SOLUTION: The power tool, driven by the motor capable of switching its rotating direction between forward and reverse directions, rotates an attached tool bit; wherein changeover switches (28a, 28b) for switching the rotating direction of the motor are configured with push-type switches, the entire surface of the changeover switches are covered with a surface cover, and LEDs 27a, 28b indicating an operation mode are provided in the vicinity of the changeover switches. The changeover switches are a first switch 28a to forward-rotate the motor and a second switch 28b to reverse-rotate the motor; the first switch 28a is provided on one side of a housing 6 of the power tool and the second switch 28b is provided on the other side of the housing 6.
