<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically switch and control to a suitable operational state corresponding to the place and the scene for use without the need of a dedicated control device or the like and without the need for a user himself/herself to set an operational mode. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A data storage section 18 of a memory unit 16 accumulates therein data representing an operational state of a present terminal within a fixed term (e.g., for five weekdays). A control unit 10 executes an automatic operation control program in a program storage section 17 in the memory unit 16 to totalize the data representing the operational state, stored in the data storage section 18 by time period within the fixed term and determines a parameter representing the frequency of use (representing universality) under the operational state in each time period on the basis of the totalized data. Then, the control section 10 sets an operational state by time period on the basis of the parameter representing the frequency of use and controls the present terminal into the set operational state.
