<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a technique which effectively removes spurious generated in a synthesizer transmitter in a wireless communication device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An MPU 51 sets frequencies f<SB>Lo1</SB>and f<SB>Lo2</SB>of first and second synthesizers 31 and 32 so as to obtain a desired transmission frequency f<SB>TX</SB>and stores a spurious content level output from a comparator 43, into a memory 52. Next the MPU 51 shifts the frequencies f<SB>Lo1</SB>and f<SB>Lo2</SB>of the first and second synthesizers 31 and 32 simultaneously by the same frequency and stores a spurious content level output from the comparator 43, into the memory 52. After the end of a prescribed number of times of this processing, the MPU 51 refers to spurious content levels stored in the memory 52 to specify frequencies f<SB>Lo1</SB>and f<SB>Lo2</SB>giving the lowest spurious content level, and output frequencies of the first and second synthesizers 31 and 32 are controlled to the specified frequencies.
