<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect off-track of an optical disk. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An optical disk device includes: a prediction address storage means 26 for storing a prediction address corresponding to an address; an analog signal processing part 16 for generating an output signal; an address extracting means 25a extracting an address from the generated output signal; a prediction address calculating means 25b for calculating prediction address corresponding to a newly extracted address based on the prediction address read out from the prediction address storing means 26 when an address is extracted newly, while, for making the prediction address storing means 26 store this calculated prediction address; and an address determining means 25c for determining that the off-track is caused when difference between the calculated prediction address and the newly extracted address is multiple of positive integer or multiple of negative integer of the number of addresses of one round in an optical disk 101.
