<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing a coating object from floating and for improving failure in conducting and failure in electrodeposition coating accompanying a floating state of the object, in electrodeposition coating of a small article. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for electrodeposition coating of a small article aims electrodeposition coating of a small article 3 conveyed by a conveying means 5 with a cationic electrodeposition coating composition 2, wherein the cationic electrodeposition coating composition 2 in an electrodeposition tank 1 is stirred so as to control a horizontal flow rate of the cationic electrodeposition coating composition 2 to a range from 1 to 7 cm/sec in a section where the small article 3 enters the electrodeposition tank 1; the cationic electrodeposition coating composition 2 contains a cationic epoxy resin, a block isocyanate curing agent, a pigment sedimentation preventing agent (a) comprising a fatty acid, a derivative of a fatty acid or an amine compound or a mixture of at least two selected from the above three kinds, and (b) a pigment; the content of the pigment (b) ranges from 12 to 20 pts.wt. with respect to 100 pts.wt. of a coating solid content; and the content of the pigment sedimentation preventing agent (a) ranges from 5 to 20 pts.wt. with respect to 100 pts.wt. of the pigment (b).
