<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous primer for a lamp reflector which has satisfactory adhesiveness particularly to unsaturated polyester resin molding, is excellent in heat resistance and does not use an organic solvent. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The aqueous primer for lamp reflector contains an aqueous solution or aqueous dispersion liquid of water-soluble or water-dispersible aqueous polyester resin as an indispensable component. The production method of aqueous primer for lamp reflector includes: using the aqueous polyester resin as an emulsifier or a dispersant and radically polymerizing an ethylenic unsaturated monomer. The lamp reflector is made by applying the aqueous primer onto the molding of the unsaturated polyester resin to form a coated film and, subsequently, forming metallic thin film.
