<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide device capable of feeding tow to a firing step without twisting or folding the tow, and a manufacturing method using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The guide device is arranged in the middle of pulling up acrylic fiber tow in a storage container, and feeding it to the firing step, and has a tow arranging guide comprising at least one flat guide and at least one yarn passage regulating guide. The yarn passage regulating guide comprises a curved guide and an auxiliary guide. The auxiliary guide is on the upstream side of the curved guide, and the spacing between the auxiliary guide and the curved guide is 50-500 mm. By using this guide device, and setting the tension to be 4.8×10<SP>-3</SP>g/dtex to 58.3×10<SP>-3</SP>g/dtex, the tow is neither twisted nor folded during the feed.
