<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure capable of improving deformation strength of a door body against side surface collision, and increasing rigidity of the entire vehicle body without preventing smooth opening and closing of the door body. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A first reinforcement rod 11a is attached to the door body 10 through a rubber elastic body. A guide projection 23 that guides a rear end part 16 of the first reinforcement rod 11a forward during opening and closing of the door body 10 is provided at a center pillar 4. A recess part 22 in which a front end part 15 of the first reinforcement rod 11a is engaged during opening and closing of the door body 10 is provided at a front pillar 5.
