<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether a driver of a carriage or the like exists in a predetermined position in a lower state of motor torque in detecting an abutting state because the driver is allowed to abut on a fixed object such as a frame as a method for moving the driver into the predetermined position (the home position). Ž<P>SOLUTION: A speed detecting part 6 detects the speed of the driver. A determining part 11 compares the speed of the driver detected by the speed detecting part 6, with a preset speed threshold stored in a storage part 10, and determines that the driver has abutted when determining that the speed of the driver is the speed threshold or lower.
