<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel which can protect a case with an outer cover, can deal only by the exchange of the outer case, when the outer case is injured, is economical, and can easily perform an exchange work. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This fishing reel (1) has a reel body (2) rotatably supporting a spool (10), and a case (33) disposed on the reel body (2). The case (33) has a display portion (37) for displaying information related to the length of a line. The region except the display portion (37) in the case (33) is covered with an outer cover (42).
