The device has drying chambers (4, 6) interconnected and communicating with each other. A common flow generating unit (24) for circulating a dry air around an inner side of the chambers, and a heating device (26) for heating the dry air, are attached to the drying chambers. A flow guiding element (40) i.e. flow guiding plate, is utilized for guiding a stream of dry air such that the dry air flows around the inner side of both chambers in a simultaneous manner. The flow guiding element is controlled such that the dry air flows into the chambers in an intermittent operating manner.
