<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cleaning performance in a magnetic tape device by using a roller according to a degree of stain in a magnetic head. <P>SOLUTION: The device of cleaning the head for magnetic tape includes the cleaning roller 40. The cleaning roller 40 includes regions having different cleaning powers in an axial direction.
