<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical fiber cable which allows an outermost layer to be easily torn and has a reduced wire resistance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable 100 comprises a cable core part 19 provided with a plurality of coated optical fibers 17, and an outermost layer member 21 covering an outer circumference of the cable core part 19, and the outermost layer member 21 is formed of a net 23. It is preferable that the net 23 is formed like a lattice comprising a plurality of warps parallel with an axial line direction of the cable core part 19 and a plurality of woofs orthogonal to the warps.
