<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hand-held nailing machine having a safety mechanism and capable of driving a nail in a state in which the nail head thereof projects from the position at which a nail is driven. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this hand-held nailing machine, the safety mechanism of a trigger is released by retreating a contact at the nose end of a nailing machine body by pressing the contact against the position at which a nail is driven. When the trigger is operated, a driver blade performs a hammering operation to drive the nail from the end of the nose to the position at which the nail is driven. A driving limitation member is attached to the contact detachably while projecting from the end of the contact. The safety mechanism of the trigger is released by pressing the driving limitation member against the position where the nail is driven to retreat the contact, and the nail is driven by the trigger operation in the state in which the nail head projects from the position at which the nail is driven.
