<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutter knife 1 which is excellent in safety by prohibiting a person other than the user from handling the cutter knife to prevent the cutter blade 4 from being projected from a holder 3. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cutter knife 1 includes a holder 3 with a slide groove 2 extended in the longitudinal direction, a cutter blade 4 stored in the slide groove 2 so as to project/retreat at the end part of the holder 3, and a positioning member 5 to position the cutter blade 4 in the longitudinal direction in the slide groove 2. A locking mechanism 15 which is switchable between a locking condition wherein the cutter blade 4 set in the slide groove 2 is prohibited from moving in the projecting direction and a released condition wherein the cutter blade 4 is allowed to move in the projecting direction is equipped in the holder 3.
