<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve correction accuracy for color shift in an image. Ž<P>SOLUTION: While using gradation values of first and second reference pixels, color shift widths D<SB>R</SB>, D<SB>B</SB>with respect to R, B and G components regarding a pixel of interest to be corrected are calculated based on an expression described in S114 and an expression described in S116 in the figure.
