METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING STBC/SFBC

A method and an apparatus for detecting STBC/SFBC are provided. The method includes the following steps: receiving the signals which are transmitted using the manner of space time/frequency coding; performing channel estimation based on pilot signals; constructing an equivalent virtual channel matrix EVCM based on the channel estimation result; detecting the received signals using MIMO multiplex detecting method with the constructed EVCM. The apparatus for detecting STBC/SFBC includes a preprocessing module, an equivalent matrix generating module and a detection performing module.
