ACID-RESISTANT ENDOGLUCANASE AND USE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acid-resistant endoglucanase, i.e. a protein exhibiting excellent endoglucanase activity under acidic conditions and to provide effective use of the protein.

SOLUTION: Provided are a protein composed of a specific amino acid sequence, an amino acid sequence having one or multiple amino acid mutations to the specific amino acid sequence or an amino acid sequence having homology of ≥75% to the specific amino acid sequence and having endoglucanase activity, and a protein having endoglucanase activity higher than that of endoglucanase derived from Trichoderma reesei at a pH of ≥2 and ≤4.
