<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply determining or detecting a DNA. <P>SOLUTION: The method for determining or detecting methylated DNA in a DNA region of interest possessed by genome DNA contained in a sample derived from an organism is provided. The method comprises a first step of separating a double-stranded DNA derived from the genome DNA having the DNA region of interest contained in the sample derived from the organism into a single-stranded DNA; a second step of mixing the single-stranded DNA with a methylated DNA antibody, and a specific oligonucleotide bindable to a base sequence without inhibiting binding of a methylated region in the single-stranded DNA to the methylated DNA antibody or a complementary sequence thereof, and forming a complex of the single-stranded DNA with the methylated DNA antibody and the specific oligonucleotide; and a third step of determining or detecting the methylated DNA antibody or the specific oligonucleotide contained in the complex by functions thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
