<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater capable of eliminating the necessity of a dedicated water quality determination device and performing appropriate control related to hot water supply in accordance with environmental conditions where the water heater is installed. <P>SOLUTION: The water heater is provided with position identifying means 45, 41 for identifying a geographic position where the water heater is installed and with a condition setting means 41 for setting hot water boiling conditions or hot water supply conditions to a prescribed hot water delivery place 52 in accordance with the position identified by the position identifying means 45, 41.
