PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ink from leaking out from an atmosphere communication hole because of variation of the internal pressure and an external impact in an ink tank. SOLUTION: It is considered that the ink stuck to a rib 1809 or the ink trapped in a groove 1812 disperses to the vicinity of a projection 1817 caused by the impact or the like. In this case, first, the possibility that the ink disperses from the groove 1812 or a part far from it to reach the projection 1817 can be reduced because the groove 1812 is formed with a predetermined distance from the projection 1817. Secondly, even if the dispersed ink enters an area surrounded by the groove 1812, the dispersed ink can be trapped by a second groove 1810 formed in this area. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
