PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry main of a coke oven, hardly causing accumulation of sediment such as sludge on the bottom part of the dry main, facilitating the attachment of the dry main, and hardly allowing the corrosion of the upper surface of the dry main. SOLUTION: The dry main of the coke oven for recovering a coke oven gas generated at the carbonization of coal is horizontally attached to the upper part of backstay, and has a slope plate installed in the bottom part in the dry main and among terminal parts at both sides of the dry main and an offtake main present at the center part of the dry main, and regulated so that the positions at the terminal part sides of the dry main may be higher than the position at the offtake main side.
