<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which makes wet performance of a tire compatible with wear resistance and low fuel consumption performance while securing performance on ice and snow of the tire. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire 1 includes: a plurality of circumferential main grooves 21, 22 extended circumferentially along a tire; a plurality of width direction grooves 31-33 extended widthways along a tire; and block rows 41-43 partitioned by the circumferential main grooves 21, 22 and the width direction grooves 31-33 in the tread part. In the pneumatic tire 1, a groove area ratio G is≥30% when the tire is new, the groove area ratio G is≤25% when a wear rate is 50%.
