<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CMOS solid-state imaging apparatus capable of preventing a blackening phenomenon without deteriorating image quality and without expanding circuit scale. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A driver 14 sequentially supplies a reset voltage RT of an active level and a transfer voltage TX of an active level to a gate of a reset transistor and a gate of a transfer transistor in a pixel. During a period of time just before supplying the reset voltage RT of the active level, the transfer voltage TX is shifted to a level a little higher than an inactive level to make low a potential barrier interposed between a PD 101 and an FD 102d. By shifting the reset voltage RT to the active level, the transfer voltage TX is shifted to the inactive level to make high the potential barrier interposed between the PD 101 and the FD 102d.
