<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem: a complicated and advanced manufacturing process is needed to manufacture a MOS transistor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A variable resistor array includes: a plurality of resistors connected in series; the plurality of MOS transistors; and a plurality of switches. When a control signal is an on voltage for making the MOS transistor conductive, the switches apply source voltage to a back gate of the MOS transistor and an i-th MOS transistor is connected in response to the on voltage applied to the gate. When the control signal is off voltage for disconnecting the i-th MOS transistor, the switches apply board voltage to the back gate of the MOS transistor and the MOS transistor is disconnected in response to the off voltage applied to the gate.
