<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve winding detection accuracy in a fixing apparatus, a printing apparatus and a program. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Temperature decrease caused by the contact between a heating roll 42B and a pressure roll 42C and temperature decrease caused by the winding of a recording paper 30 have the same tendency and are determined as the first condition. After the first condition is established, it is discriminated whether the temperature decrease is caused by the contact between the heating roll 42B and the pressure roll 42C or the temperature decease is caused by the winding of the recording paper 30, on the basis of the absolute value of a temperature increase change rate at which the temperature of the heating roll 42B is recovered.
