<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve for making both compatible in restraining fuel leakage and guaranteeing a sliding characteristic. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This fuel injection valve has a piston 10 for increasing-decreasing pressure in a pressure control chamber 35 by transmitting displacement of an actuator, and a housing 2 for storing the piston and a shaft end part 50d on the anti-nozzle port 25 side of at least a valve member 50. The piston 10 is slidably supported by the inner peripheries 21 and 22 of the housing. Among both end parts 11 in the axial direction of the piston, one end part in the axial direction is formed of the inner periphery of the housing, and is provided with a first fuel chamber 32 communicating with a pressure control chamber 35. The other end part in the axial direction cooperates with the actuator, and is provided with a second fuel chamber 31 formed of the inner periphery of the housing. At least a specific end part in the axial direction has a groove part 13a formed in a plurality of places in the peripheral direction of a sliding end part 12 in the sliding end part 12 sliding in a sliding hole 21c and communicating with a specific fuel chamber by extending in the inclining direction by inclining in the axial direction.
