<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw device in which a screw shaft or a nut can be exchanged to prevent generation of an edge load. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This screw device comprises a screw shaft 1 formed with a spiral groove 1a for rolling bodies in the outer peripheral surface thereof, a nut 2 formed with a negative spiral groove 2a for rolling bodies in the inner peripheral surface thereof opposite to the rolling groove 1a for rolling bodies of the screw shaft 1, and a plurality of rolling bodies 3 interposed between the rolling groove 1a for rolling bodies of the screw shaft 1 and the rolling groove 2a for rolling bodies of the nut 2. Both side edges 4 of the negative rolling groove 2a for rolling bodies of the nut 2 hold the rolling bodies 3 to prevent falls of the plurality of rolling bodies 3 from the nut 2 when the screw shaft 1 is pulled out of the nut 2.
