<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nail clipper capable of correctly cutting a nail to the desired length while seeing through whole nail tip part sandwiched between the upper blade and the lower blade from the upper part of a press plate. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Blade support parts 7, 8 are formed facing each other on both front ends of a pair of press plates 1, 2 using a transparent material on the upper side or both upper and lower sides in which rear parts are connected so that front parts are energized to the open direction and the upper and lower sides can be opened/closed nearly in parallel by pressing in the close direction. The sharp upper blade 3a made of sapphire having transparency and sufficient hardness is mounted downward in the lower part of the upper blade support part 7. The lower blade 4 is mounted in the upper part of the lower blade support part 8 so that its blade edge engages with the blade edge 4a of the upper blade. The nail is cut while seeing whole nail sandwiched by the upper blade 3 and the lower blade 4 through the transparent upper blade 3 and the press plate 1 on the upper side.
