PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advantageous method for obtaining a diepoxy compound. SOLUTION: This method for obtaining the diepoxy compound expressed by formula (1) [wherein, Ys are each the same or different and denote H or a 1-8C alkyl; (a)s are each the same or different and denote an integer of 1 to 4; and Ar is a divalent group] is provided by adding an alcohol expressed by formula (2): R'OH [wherein, R' is a 3-8C alkyl] into a solution obtained by dissolving the diepoxy compound expressed by the formula 1 in an organic solvent and filtering a precipitated substance.
