An information recording method of recording on a recording medium such as an optical disc the content supplied by a content server. Before a piece of content supplied by the content server is additionally recorded on a medium on which a title containing a plurality of files is recorded, the piece of content to be additionally recorded is notified to the content server, and disc-package information representing a unique ID by which the files constituting the title already recorded on the medium and the title are identified is sent to the content server. The content server generates, according to the disc-package information, files which constitute a title of a new disc package containing the piece of content to be additionally recorded. Out of the generated files, the updated files of the files constituting the title already recorded on the medium are received and recorded on the medium. |
