<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive device capable of suppressing a speed change of a rotating body, which is caused by a gear-change mechanism, and of reducing the size of a rotation inertia body. <P>SOLUTION: A KC planetary friction wheel mechanism 130 and KC flywheel 126 are disposed on the same shaft as a KC idler gear 123, which engages with K drive gear 122K and C drive gear 122C fixed to the shafts of the K photoreceptor and C photoreceptor, respectively. In addition, a CM planetary friction wheel mechanism 140 and CM flywheel 127 are disposed on the same shaft as a CM idler gear 124, which engage with the C drive gear 122C and an M drive gear 122M fixed to the shaft of an M photoreceptor.
