<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dye color filter having improved light fastness and excellent reliability, and to provide a display device using the color filter. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter comprises a substrate, a transparent colored layer formed on the substrate, and a transparent resin layer formed to cover the transparent colored layer, wherein the transparent colored layer contains a dye as a coloring material, and the transparent resin layer contains an antioxidant.
