<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automotive exhaust gas treatment catalyst having a structure formed by bearing at least Rh particles as a catalyst metal on a catalyst carrier and provided with an improved catalytic capability, particularly NOx treatment capability, by preventing oxidation of the Rh particles. <P>SOLUTION: In the automotive exhaust gas treatment catalyst bearing at least Rh particles as a catalyst metal on a catalyst carrier, the automotive exhaust gas treatment catalyst has a structure formed by further bearing particles of a protection metal which is harder to be oxidized than Rh on the surfaces of the Rh particles and the deposition amount of the protection metal is proper to protect the Rh particles from oxidation and at the same time not to inhibit the catalytic function of the Rh particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
