<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling unit for coupling a display-side housing to an operating-side housing through a hinge, and capable of more variedly changing the position of the display-side housing. <P>SOLUTION: The coupling unit is equipped with a bearing base fixed to the hinge along the lengthwise direction; a supporting shaft rotatably mounted upright at right angle to the bearing base; a base plate mounted to the supporting shaft at an integrally rotatable state along the direction of the shaft; and a plate cam supported with a rotatable and slidable state at a predetermined stroke to the front side of the base plate along the direction of the shaft in the supporting shaft, and mounted with the display-side housing partially overlapped to the front side. The plate cam is elastically biased to the direction of the bearing base, and is adjusted to stop when it is rotated at least at 90°in one direction from the standard position.
