<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grand piano, obtaining a touch on a key not different from that in an ordinary playing mode in a mute playing mode, and enlarging the distance between a hammer head and a string in separating a jack to thereby surely perform damping with a margin. <P>SOLUTION: This grand piano includes: a whippen flange 15 freely moving in the vertical direction; a whippen 11 rotatably supported on the whippen flange 15 and placed on a key 2 hammer shank flange 1; a repetition lever 12 inclined to descend backward, on which a hammer shank 3a is placed through a shank roller 3c; a jack 13 pushing up the hammer 3 through the shank roller 3c and separating from the hammer 3 in the course of rotation; a damping rail 5 on which the hammer shank 3a abuts, thereby inhibiting the hammer head 3b from striking a string in a mute playing mode; and driving device 20 for moving the whippen flange 15 upward in a mute playing mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
